Where readers come from
Creative, media buying, and the measurement sitting under every dollar that leaves the account.
Digital publishing · owned and operated
A holding company with its own operators inside every title.
Digital eBooks LLC owns a catalogue of publishing and reading businesses and staffs each one with its own people. A short list of outside houses gets those same people on their titles.
OneThe house
We buy control and hold it. Each imprint keeps its own name and its own editors, and gets our servers, our money and our engineers behind it. We are not investors reading a royalty statement. We push releases, answer reader mail, and carry what one catalogue learns into the next one.
Advisory came second and it stays second. Nothing reaches a partner until it has sold for months from our own storefronts, to our own readers, with our own staff paying for the mistakes. The roster stays short deliberately.
TwoAdvisory
Outside the catalogue we work with a few houses on the choices that separate a list that grows from a list that stalls. Every engagement comes out of a title we sell ourselves.
Creative, media buying, and the measurement sitting under every dollar that leaves the account.
The free chapter, the checkout, and the reason someone comes back for the next one on a Tuesday night.
Processors, currencies, digital goods tax and refunds. The wiring that has to hold once real volume arrives.
Drafting, narration and support handled by agents on live jobs, with a person reading every output.
Which market to open and how to open it: real translation, rights and legal homework, readers you actually talk to.
Months next to your people, hands on the covers, the channels and the hiring. Not a deck and a handshake.
Everything we recommend was paid for, staffed and broken on our own readers before it left the building.
A small number of titles, held close. Most houses who ask each year get a no, and they get it quickly.
No case studies, no logo wall, nothing said about the work in public. Who we work with is between us.
We will take the title still selling in five years over the one that tops a chart for a fortnight.
